The
120 Miss World contestants who will battle it out for the 2011 title
will stay at the stunning London Marriott in County Hall alongside th
London Eye and on the opposite bank of the Thames from the Houses of
Parliament. The National Winners arrive in London on October 27 for a
packed diary of fund raising events prior to the Miss World 2011 final,
on November 6.
Located on London's trendy and theatrical
South Bank, the luxury 5 * London Marriott Hotel, County Hall has
breathtaking views of historic Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the
River Thames. The hotel is located in one of London’s “grand buildings”
and was formerly the seat of local government in the capital. It has
been sympathetically modernized while retaining many of the original
stand out features such as the towering bronze doors and the polished
marbled floors.
All rooms are extremely spacious, with many
offering spectacular views overlooking the river.  For the duration of
the contestant’s stay, they will be able to take full advantage of the
hotel’s extensive facilities, which include a state of the art gym, spa
and 25 metre indoor swimming pool.  They will be able to enjoy a range
of packages developed especially to suit their needs and ensure that
they are in the best possible condition for their big night.  Special
‘Miss World’ treatment packages will also be available to all hotel
guests, allowing them a taste of this glamorous occasion.
The breathtaking Library Lounge, widely
regarded as one of the most beautiful rooms in London, will be available
 to the contestants.
We feel very honoured to be hosting such a
prestigious event here at County Hall”. Commented Theresa Maw, the
hotel’s general manager. “Every member of our team is working hard and
is excited to be part of this glamorous international event. As the
official “Home of Miss World 2011” the London Marriott Hotel County Hall
is developing a host of Miss World events – including new menus and
packages in the period leading up to the finals.”
Chef Christopher Basten and his team are
rising to the challenge of taking care of the culinary requirements of
contestants from all over the world. “With months to go we are hard at
work planning not just what the girls and their entourages will eat for
their 12 day stay but how to source all the ingredients and ensure that
our regular guests also have the highest standards of hospitality that
the hotel is famous for,” said Theresa Maw. “We will also meet the
requirements of all the various national TV stations which will converge
on the hotel – many of whom will stay in other Marriott hotels
throughout London.”
The London Marriott County Hall invites you
to get exclusive access to attend all the amazing events which will
surround the Miss World contest by reserving some of the special hotel
packages which will be announced soon on this site. “Much of the Miss
World programme will be open to our guests and they will become part of
one of the most glamorous shows on earth,” commented Theresa Maw. “We
have hosted numerous high profile national and international events of
all sizes and styles and I am confident that Miss World 2011 at the
London Marriott County Hall will be regarded as one of the most
successful ever held.”
